ZSR Communications Portal: Events

A guide for ZSR faculty and staff to assist with the development of print and web communications used to engage with our many audiences, internal and external to the University, and provide strategic direction for all ZSR communications efforts.

Having an event?

Below are guidelines for event planning and execution. Depending on the event and organizer, some of the steps and considerations below may already be taken care of or planned. This is meant as a framework, and should be discussed with organizers.

Things to Consider

Signage

  • Contact Daisha Bunn for help with design and printing. 
  • If larger or different printing is needed, ask the Dean's office for budget and support
  • Digital signage across campus might be able to advertise your event

Technology

  • For technology needs for ZSR locations, contact Barry Davis or Tech Team
  • For other building locations, speak with building managers

How to get the event out to the community?

  • Write a blog post about it! Make sure blog posts are written to a wide audience so it can be shared in other newsletters/channels.
  • Utilize ZSR social media channels
  • Tag University channels or use hashtags to reach people
  • Post event on University events calendar

Add to University calendar (http://events.wfu.edu/)

Add to Library Event tracker calendar

Submit details to Digital Signage form and Social Media form for publicity (See Request for Marketing & Promotion page)

Post event survey for internal events. Check with Daisha Bunn.
