As you use current news sources, remember to think critically about the sources that are used and potential biases of the author or the publishing company.  News organizations may have histories of being supportive or antagonistic to various governments, political parties, or individual politicians, and their presentation of events may reflect those historic perspectives.  Read, watch, or listen to multiple sources from different perspectives in order to counter any mis- or disinformation you may encounter along the way.
