What do you do? 

• Before you meet with your project manager: 
  • Look up people here and places here. 
  • Google around! Check out your topic and the things you find in conjunction with it. (Don't forget Google Books and HathiTrust!) 
  • Use this research guide with ideas and recommendations from ZSR!  
  • Try MESDA resources like craftsman database, resident database, or object database 
  • Try the Records of the Moravians in North Carolina 
• Next-level research: 
  • Talk to your project manager and get leads, ideas, and recommendations for you! 
    • Go to MESDA and look at your object's file or your person's file in Martha's office. 
    • If your project manager is at Old Salem I'd do these at once there! 
    • If you don't have transportation for getting to Old Salem, contact Dr. Farmer
  • While you're there, take a look at relevant places and spaces 
• Keep looking if you're stuck: 
  • Follow up with your project manager to ask for recommendations
  • Make use of the multitude of ways to get help from librarians in ZSR 
  • Talk to Dr. Farmer to get ideas
  • Take a look at the various resources we’ve collected for these projects over the years
