LAUNCHING A PRODUCT TO COMPETE WITH CELSIUS:
Your Team will present on a product that you are launching to compete with Celsius. The presentation should be no more than *10 minutes* (and no more than *4 slides*, not including the title slide). Each team member should have a speaking role in the presentation.
In the Team presentations, please address the following questions:
- Which of the databases (please use at least three of the [library] databases that are presented by Morgan Ritchie-Baum in class) did you use? Please add your citations in the “Notes” section at the bottom of your presentation’s title slide.
- What are the most prevalent consumer behavior trends in the traditional energy drink market (e.g., Red Bull, Monster), and how do they differ from trends in the functional beverage category in which Celsius competes?
- How will you take advantage of trends in the emerging functional beverage space to produce a consumer-focused product that aligns with those trends?
- Which segment(s) did you target, and why?
- How did you uncover the segments that are present in the market?
- How did you decide to position your new product, and which insights from the data guided your decision?
- Which tactics from class will you apply to the marketing of your new product?
Your grade will be determined by the extent to which you:
- Use multiple (at least three) databases presented in class to address the questions above,
- Follow the directions/guidelines provided,
- Demonstrate mastery in your presentation (proofread slides, organized and well-paced delivery, shared speaking time), and
- Engage your audience (make eye contact, respond to questions, and communicate enthusiasm for your idea).
