Citation Style Guides

Properly citing the resources you use to complete your coursework is an important part of the research process and is taken seriously in the School of Divinity.  Professors in the School recommend using the Turabian (Chicago) Manual of Style, 9th Edition, for your research papers.  A print copy of Turabian 9 is available in the ZSR Reference Style Guide bookshelf for use in the Library (see first link below).  Some faculty additionally recommend The Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) Handbook of Style, which is also available as an ebook (see third link below).

Zotero

Zotero is a free resource that can help you manage the sources you find as you research, and then format your citations as you are writing your papers.  You can download the program and find help at zotero.org.

ZSR has Zotero video tutorials and offers Zotero workshops to show you the ins and outs of using Zotero.
