Student Copier and Printer Guide: Troubleshooting

If you need assistance please see a staff member at the Library Services Desk (2nd floor Reynolds Wing) or see ZSR's online help options.

Document Doesn't Print

The most common cause of this is due to your document having an incorrect page size.  An error message may appear on screen, asking you to choose a different paper source.  Choose 8 ½” by 11” for standard paper sizes and your job should print.

Print Error

If your document has some other issue, such as lines in the ink, please see a staff member at the Library Services Desk for assistance.

If staff is unavailable, please resubmit your print job and release it on a different printer, then email the library at askzsr@wfu.edu for a refund.

Paper Jam

If the printer’s touch screen indicates that a paper jam has occurred, please see a staff member at the Library Services Desk for assistance.

If staff is unavailable, please resubmit your print job and release it on a different printer, then email the library at askzsr@wfu.edu for a refund.

Lack of Funds

Students receive a certain amount of free printing funds at the beginning of each semester:

  • Undergraduate Students - $4.00

Once free prints are exhausted printing funds can be added at deacprint.wfu.edu or via Deacon Dollars.
