Where should I search for my pre-modern engineer?

- SciFinder-n This link opens in a new windowProvded by CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society, this database includes reference, substance, reaction and supplier content as well as relevance-ranked answer sets, step-by-step procedures and protocols, biosequence searching, retrosynthesis planning, patent landscape mapping, touch-screen enabled structure drawing. Users can now log into SciFinder with their WFU username and password. If you have an existing SciFinder account associated with your WFU email address, you will still have access to all of your saved searches and other data when you log in.
- Academic Search PremierThis database is a good multi-subject source for articles.
- Gale in Context: Biography This link opens in a new windowContains more than 600,000 biographical entries covering international figures from all time periods and areas of study. Also links to news, multimedia and scholarly content about the figures.
- WorldCat (Advanced Search)Think of WorldCat as the ibrary catalog of library catalogs. TIPS: Search for a book with the pre-modern engineer's name in the title. Limit your search to English as the language.
New tools to discover resources
Advances in artificial intelligence combined with open data initiatives have spawned new tools to aid in discovery. A few are listed below:

scite.ai: You can search by citation statement or papers to find related articles, conference proceedings, etc. In addition, you can use scite's Assistant to ask questions to get an overview as well as find resources. NOTE: We have access to scite.ai at Wake Forest. If you are off campus, download VPN in order to access scite.ai using IP authentication.
