    The Basics of Country Research

    1. Consult country profiles in country databases such as Marketline, ProQuest ABI/Inform, Business Source Premier and Europa World Plus. 
       
    2. Find and read articles about the country from ProQuest ABI/Inform, Economist.com, Business Source Premier, and LEXIS-NEXIS.  Use WSJ.com and Google News to check the most recent news from today and past week.
       
    3. Find economic and other statistical information from the World Bank and Marketline Country Statistics database.
       
    4. Use market research databases such as Euromonitor Passport database to find specialized country reports.
       
    5. Check country rankings to compare countries based on criteria of economic freedom, competitiveness and ease of doing business.
       
    6. Research country on Internet.
