WFU Slavery, Race, & Memory Project: How Can You Help Us? Transcription

Historical and Other Resources for Research

From the Page Transcription Service

Z. Smith Reynolds Library recently acquired From the Page, a crowdsourced platform, which allows for transcription, indexing, and description. Special Collections & Archives has added early institutional records and we need your help to transcribe each handwritten page. Transcription will then allow for easier keyword searching by researchers relating to the earliest years of Wake Forest College.

The records include the Board of Trustees minutes, 1834-1871; Treasurer's Book, 1833-1834; Index to
Accounts, late 19th century; and the Wake Forest Manual Labor Institute Account Book and Register of Students, 19th century.
