The Hege Library at Guilford College loans up to 10 books at a time to TALA borrowers who are in good standing at their home institutions.

Loan Period:  30 days on books; 7 days on AV and Juvenile collection

Number of books that can be taken at one time: 10 items

Renewals: One or Two depending on type

Access to DVD or VHS collection:  7 day checkout allowed

Access to Reserve collection:  Building Use Only

Able to place holds through the catalog:  No

Overdue fines assessed: None

Recalls (when the owning library needs material returned quickly): No additional fines assessed, but the loan length is shortened

Replacement cost: $55 per book; $35 per CD; $75 per DVD or VHS plus a $20 non refundable processing fee

Borrowing privileges suspended:  When money is owed and items are overdue

Restricted Access:  Online database access from within Library only.  Computers are available, but not printing.

Service restrictions:  No interlibrary loan requests can be honored. No laptops or other equipment can be loaned.  No group study rooms.

Eligibility:  Student ID/Picture ID.
