This resource guide coordinates with ART225: Bodies and Objects.  Across the top of the page are tabs for various disciplines as they relate to or have a conception of "body" as a category.  They will include important reference sources, call number sections, authors and artists.

If you are looking for ideas or a place to start, and excellent search is to go to the library catalog and do a search for "body and society."  You will get a variety of results in all of the areas mentioned on the tabs above, and may lead you to new ways of looking at the topic and also the use of the word "body" itself.
