Lending Privileges

The Jackson Library at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro loans up to 25 books at a time to TALA borrowers who are in good standing at their home institutions.

 

Loan Period: 30 days on books; 7 days on AV collection

Number of books that can be taken at one time: 25 items

Renewals: Online available; unlimited as long as the patron is enrolled or employed by his/her home school

Access to DVD or VHS collection:   No

Access to Reserve collection:  Building Use Only

Able to place holds through the catalog:  No

Overdue fines assessed: 40 days after due date. $20 processing fee

Recalls (when the owning library needs material returned quickly): No additional fines assessed, but the loan length is shortened.  $75 fee for not returning an item by it's shortened due date.

Replacement cost: $65 per standard book, prices vary. Plus $20 processing fee

Borrowing privileges suspended:  When items are overdue and money is owed.

Restricted Access:  Online datases accessed from within the library only.

Service restrictions:  No interlibrary loan requests can be honored. No technology, room bookings. No recorded music outside of Music Library.

Eligibility:  Picture ID (School or state ID) and evidence of current enrollment.
