The Smith Library at High Point University loans up to 5 books at a time to TALA borrowers who are in good standing at their home institutions.

Loan Period:  28 days on books

Number of books that can be taken at one time: 5 books

Renewals: One

Access to DVD or VHS collection:   Building Use Only

Access to Reserve collection:  Building Use Only

Able to place holds through the catalog:  Yes

Overdue fines assessed: $5 per week per book

Recalls (when the owning library needs material returned quickly): No additional fines assessed, but the loan length is shortened

Replacement cost: $50 Replacement of the book.  Sometimes the cost of replacement may vary.

Borrowing privileges suspended:  When items are overdue and money is owed.

Restricted Access:  Online database access from within Library only. 

Service restrictions:  No interlibrary loan requests can be honored. No laptops or other equipment can be loaned. No access to educational materials, or leisure collection.

Eligibility:  Current School ID.
